I want to go back to there.
To Montauk. To grilled fish tacos on the beach. To waking up to the water gently lapping our cottage. To disconnecting from my phone. To throwing on a swimsuit and coverup and going about my day.
I want to go to there. And back to this day, in particular.
Even though I own a drawer full of swimsuits, I always end up reaching for this Norma Kamali one. It’s incredibly comfortable (read – doesn’t feel like wearing a corset), leaves me with minimal tan lines, and the print is just fantastic.
It’s got me on the hunt for more just like it, which is difficult. Norma, please bring back this print!
Sami ended up wearing my planned caftan as a nightgown, and loaned me this easy coverup (a find from a Laguna Niguel boutique) that just happened to match my swimsuit perfectly. I skipped the makeup in favor of sunscreen (this for face, this for body), sunglasses, and my perfect sun visor.
An arm of gold bangles finished the look. Easy, relaxed, and zero worries.
I want to go to there. Mentally, physically, and with no traffic please.
You’ll find me wearing this linen set and easy caftan on vacation this summer – or when I need to feel like I’m on vacation. More of my summer outfits here.
I share a new outfit on Wednesdays. You can find (and sort!) through all of them here.
