The Hit List – November & December 2013

Given that I neglected to do this monthly series the past two months, I figured a combined post was the way to go.

Also, I can’t remember what I loved in each separate month, but these items did stand out and made the “I should share this with other people” list. Without further ado, my favorite things from the past two months.

The Hit List November December 2013

Young adult books are the perfect options for vacation reads – they’re fast, they’re easy, and these packed a lot of adventure in them.  I picked up the Divergent series (Grace’s recommendation) and Ender’s Game, and could NOT put either down.  (Hint – these also make great too-cold-to-go-outside books as well).  My Kindle was in heavier-than-usual use and deserves another shout-out here – especially when reading 1000+ page books.  We bought a new suitcase while in Asia, and it’s already in heavy use (friends borrowed it for their India trip, and my husband will be toting it for our next trip).  I can’t-stop-won’t-stop wearing these Rag & Bone jeans – they hug in the right places without cutting off circulation in the wrong ones.  The same can be said for these Club Monaco leather-front leggings.  They’re best paired with a super soft sweater (most often owned by my husband) and these absurdly cozy cashmere socks from Soxiety.  Travel (and too-lazy-to-go-to-the-gym workouts) are made SO much better with these Nike foot wraps.  These + my sneakerless workouts = my pants aren’t as tight as they could be.  Lastly, I’m ditching my large totes for compact crossbody bags – this Sole Society gem is on heavy rotation, and I have my eye on this one as well.  The new Beyonce album has obviously been playing nonstop, as is this 60’s French pop station on Pandora.
