Baby Shower

IMG_8850

You know those baby showers you see on television shows – games, the opening of the presents, the ‘oooohing and aaaahing’?

I wanted none of that.

Julia, Olivia, and Sami deserve a gold medal, a Nobel Prize, and an ostrich Birkin (each) for throwing me the most perfect, untraditional baby shower ever.

It was a beautiful afternoon, complete with my random requests of cotton candy, spinach dip, and NO GAMES. (Games belong at game night and The Olympics).

The event was held in the beautiful library room of The Chester (one of my favorite New York restaurants), with candy from Dylan’s Candy Bar and cakes from Momofuku Milk Bar. The flowers were from Urban Stems (over a week later and the arrangements are still thriving in my apartment!), and the guests were co-ed. I wore these heels (one last hurrah during this pregnancy) and this jumpsuit, ate my weight in deviled eggs and mushroom flatbread, and got to spend time with some of our dearest friends.

Also, COTTON CANDY. IN CHAMPAGNE FLUTES. Nothing could have made me happier.

It was a perfect afternoon. #babyonthego has an amazing group of honorary aunts and uncles and is so loved.

And kind of spoiled already. My husband and I have our work cut out for us…
