Astrophysics For People In A Hurry

‘Delightful’ isn’t a word you’d use to describe an astrophysics book.

But that’s exactly what this book is.

It’s also helpful to keep your phone nearby, given that you’ll be looking up random terms quite frequently.

Astrophysics is a natural next step if you loved Cosmos, and want to learn more about the great vastness of space. The writing breaks down the complexity of bosons, photons, and and neutrinos simply and intelligently.

I’m a Neil deGrasse Tyson fangirl, and will read/watch/listen to anything he does. My husband read (and loved!) Welcome To The Universe, but I had a hard time keeping up with the physics. Astrophysics was the ideal primer to refresh my knowledge and learn some new concepts as well.

Am I an expert on the universe and physics now? No. Do I have a better understanding of the actual Big Bang? Most certainly.

Bonus – it’s the kind of book that makes you look wickedly smart when you read it in public.
