When you’re bundled up in a sweatshirt and have your space heater running in June. JUNE.

Thank goodness for fireplaces and my parents’ cozy house. I’m thoroughly enjoying frequent jaunts to Wawa and Taco Bell, quiet walks, and having several hands to help out with Rho while I plough through a mountain of work.

Mercury is out of retrograde, right? No?

Curses.

  • Get yourself to a grocery store to make this salad. Add some orzo and it makes for an ideal summer supper.
  • Do yourself a favor and watch my gal Rakia’s amazing TED Talk.
  • Everything Geraldine writes in this hilarious essay is also depressingly true. I laughed. I cried. It was better than CATS.
  • If you’re not using coconut oil (in your beauty routine AND in your meals), you’re missing out. I always have this travel-friendly jar packed in my liquids bag.
  • A very cool interview of Cory Booker and his use of social media. I’m intrigued to see how it’ll play out in the 2016 election.
  • Your weekly reading list – The Underwriting (a fictional tale of a tech company going public, as seen from the bank, the entrepreneurs, and the investors) and Primates of Park Avenue (one woman’s anthropological view of mom life in the Upper East Side).
