Rhapsody in Blue

I had some misconceptions when I started working out of a co-working space in SoHo – specifically, that it would be quiet (with a ping pong table in a loft, it’s not) and that people would dress professionally (they don’t).

Thankfully, I had only indulged in these new trousers from Old Navy for my new professional wardrobe.  Their cheery print and lightweight fabric also makes them decidedly more casual than a work trouser, making this outfit not too out of place among the jeans, t-shirts, and hoodies frequented by the other entrepreneurs and companies working in the space.

And it definitely beats my at-home wardrobe of cozy sweatpants, old t-shirts, white athletic socks, face slathered in layers of serums and creams and hair swept into a disasterously messy bun.  The horror of that image is something I will spare you.

PS – I’m well aware of how overdue I am for a haircut and color.  I’m finally getting one today, and am tempted to chop off my hair in a Miroslava Duma-esque long bob.  $10 says I’ll chicken out and go for a standard trim.

PPS – Thanks to my amazing friend Megan, I got to see my all-time favorite band, Fleetwood Mac, absolutely kill it at Madison Square Garden last night.  If you have a chance to catch them this tour, DO IT.  To say it’s an incredible show is an understatement.  She documented the experience here, and I’ll be sharing my own thoughts later this week (it starts with “legend”, and ends with “dary”.)

PPPS (final one!) – While Victoria takes an overdue and much needed vacation to wine country, I’m sharing my top travel picks for such a vacation on her blog.  It’s a self-described tragedy that my wine-loving self has yet to take a wine country trip…anywhere.
