The Hit List – January & February 2014

The Hit List January February 2014

The older I get, the faster the years seem to fly by.  I’m in a bit of disbelief that February is nearly gone (eek!), which it’s time for my bimonthly “Things I Loved These Two Months” post.

My crazy month of travel in January saw heavy use of my beloved Sia satchel.  I’ve kept using it in the city, carting around extra shoes, workout gear, etc.  Even though I have a gym in my building, I’ve been using ClassPass to check out new studios in the city – my favorite being Chaise Fitness.  Barry’s Bootcamp – you’re next.  I swapped out my giant wallet for this compact case from GiGi – I love that it holds both my phone and my essential IDs and cards.  Anyone who’s read previous Hit List or Reading List posts know I tend to theme read.  Lately, I’ve been in a major politics kick, in no small part to House of Cards and the amazing play All The Way, starring Bryan Cranston (GO SEE IT IMMEDIATELY).  Before I jump into Caro’s extensive series on LBJ, I’m dipping my toe in the political literary waters with an oldie (Kennedy & Nixon) and a newbie (HRC).  Both are excellent.  Another just-for-New-Yorkers item – I’m newly obsessed with my facialist Bonnie, recommended to me by Julia.  NO PAIN EXTRACTIONS.  Seriously.  I’ve corralled my frequently worn silver and gold baubles in these chic Jonathan Adler trays, as seen here.  It’s chic, organized, and makes my husband happy to not see my jewelry strewn all over our apartment.

Those are my favorites for the past two months – what are yours?  Any new books, music, podcasts, or products you’re loving?  Comment below – I’d love to know!
