The Little Things

This weekend, I barely opened my laptop once.  I used my phone for the most basic of functions – calls, texts, and directions.

I took a steady 48-hour Instagram, Facebook, and Twitter break.  And it was glorious.  In these days of hyperconnectivity, we all need to take some time away from our devices – bloggers, especially so!

Here are some of the few amazing memories I savored this weekend when I wasn’t hunched over my phone:

– Caught up on reading two magazines (the latest Women’s Health and Inc) and the week’s issues of WWD over a cup of tea in a sun-filled courtyard

– Saw one plane start to land in Newark while driving back to NYC, and three more behind it in a perfect line (too cool!)

– Spent an evening at the theater with my husband, watching a 2-man Harry Potter parody (this, I couldn’t help but foursquare for).

– Ate…a lot.

And when I logged back into my computer, this picture was waiting for me on Facebook:

A sneak peek of the photo session I did with Gabe, for Portavi.

It was the perfect weekend to prep for a nutso week – lots of Portavi consults, a photo session with Lydia, and heading to India for work.  Bring it on.
