This Week

Mondays have suddenly become my favorite days.  Really.

I accidentally stumbled into the habit of starting my Monday with a organization project.  Two weeks ago, it was my cluttered dresser top.  Last week, it was my kitchen condiment Lazy Susan.  This morning, I amped it up with a major edit (and purge!) of my dresser and closet.  And promptly posted a TaskRabbit task to take my clothes to Buffalo Exchange.

Next week, I’m tackling my pantry and filing cabinet.  It’s such a lovely way to start shedding the items you need so you can start the new year fresh.  Yes, the new year.  It’s a month and a half away.

Other fun things making my week – FINALLY meeting Liz (after months of e-mails and phone calls), a lunch date with Michelle, and a relaxing weekend with just a few plans (one being a photo shoot and interview – the excitement for which never gets old).  In all likelihood, we’ll probably spend the weekend doing laundry and packing for Asia (which is just 8 days away), but I’m looking forward to it all the same.

  • The Daily Love is KILLING it right now.  I shouted out “AMEN!” after reading this amazing post by Erin on envy – and how to turn that green monster right around.  Bookmark and reference every time you get caught in the comparison trap.
  • I’ve been doing some shopping in preparation for Asia, and this pouch by Rebecca Atwood is at the top of my list.
  • What this woman did before her surgery should be mandatory procedure for ALL operations.
  • Is it obvious that I have bubbly on my mind?  I loved this story how a widow created one of France’s iconic champagne houses – and the industry. Loved the article?  Snag the book.
  • #GSD, y’all – 5 TED Talks to help you work smarter.  Go ahead and procrastinate – as long as you’re watching one of these videos.
  • I have a lot of deadlines this week, and this playlist has provided the perfect soundtrack.  It’s a nice break from my French Café & Film Scores stations on Pandora.
