Health On The Go: Think Thin Bars

It feels like summer has hit Amherst today–the temperature is already 70 degrees at 9:00 a.m., with an expected high of 88!

LOVE IT.

With summer weather comes the summery clothes–sundresses, my beloved plaid J.Crew shorts (though I need to get some new pairs), tanks, wearing my Rainbows nonstop.  Summer clothes means I have to keep off the winter weight from coming back.  Which is hard when you have several sweet teeth that need to be satisfied.

Enter the Think Thin bars.

I stumbled across these babies thanks to Tracy Anderson, and picked up a few at Whole Foods last night while I grabbed dinner.  After my dinner of vegan pad thai and basil carrots (over the BBQ and mashed potatoes I intended to get…WEIRD), I opened a the box of Think Thin bites and bit into a cookies ‘n cream bar.  Swoon.

This does not taste gluten and sugar-free and only 100 calories.  It was fudgey, sweet, and gave me the same sugar rush as half a bag of M&M’s. It was creamy (not chalky like many protein bars), sweet, and good.  I felt like I was cheating on my beloved Reese’s Peanut Butter cups.  Speaking of which, I have the Think Thin peanut butter bar I’m saving for my afternoon pick-me-up today (instead of drinking yet another cup of coffee).

I’m going back to Whole Foods today to stock up.  Nom nom.

Nom nom nom nom nom. Â
