An Indian Feast

My husband and I celebrated our anniversary on Sunday (2 years of being together, 1 year of being legally married) with a quiet night in.  I cooked up an Indian feast of dahl makhani, turkey kheema, and cracked wheat.  With the dahl, I pulsed the cooked lentils with my immersion blender and added tomato paste for a creamy texture.  As I always do with turkey, I cooked it with broth to maintain its moisture and added extra chili powder for a spicier kick.  A home-cooked dinner and movie marathon (we watched all the Harry Potter films over the weekend) is our ideal way to unwind, especially after a week of long work hours and travel.
