This Week

This Week 62

It’s FREEZING.

Like, dug up my gloves and earmuffs. Investing in fleece-lined tights. Big puffer. THE PUFFER.

I was already looking forward to next week’s trip to Vancouver, but I’ll happily swap the New York tundra for a temperate gray drizzle. Also, Japadogs. And family.

It’s a close call between the two. #preggocravings

The most random highlight of the week was getting our mini fireplace (and just in time). My favorite spot at my parents’ house is my cozy chair in front of their massive stone fireplace, and I love replicating that cozy feeling in our apartment.

Is this is sign of getting older? Getting excited over a fireplace? If so, BRING IT.

We had Lexi and her family over for dinner this week, and spending time with baby Scarlett made me so excited for the arrival of our little one. Between meetings and events this week, I’m squeezing in dinner with Viviana and Lindsay, celebrating the relaunch of Amanda’s blog, and spending the weekend firmly on my arse in front of my fire. With a book. And tea.

A good week, all in all. Now to the links.

  • I share a lot of Felicia’s posts, but this one is so poignant. And the recipe is goooooooooood.
  • I’m in the midst of a breakup. With United Airlines (adios, 1K status). It’s nice to know I’m not alone.
  • If you visit one blogger’s gift guide, make it Victoria’s. I want EVERYTHING. (Also, visit mine next Monday. Please?)
  • Apparently, this will be my life come March. Bring it on!
  • What happens when NFL wives report abuse. It’s heartbreaking. It’s harder and harder to be a female NFL fan.
  • Could this be the coolest AirBnB rental ever? Yes.

Don’t forget to enter the Dagne Dover giveaway, if you haven’t yet! Their bags are my go-tos for long days in the city and all my business trips. Have a wonderful Wednesday!
