What To Pack For A Beach Vacation

Let’s talk summer.

’tis the season for melting ice-cream cones and lobster rolls. Shorts and breezy dresses. Eating hot dogs and burgers outside. And yes way rosé.

And, of course, the beach.

Beach trips (and weekends in particular) are the EASIEST type of trip to pack for. All you need is a duffel, my 5 must-pack items, and this list.

Spend less time packing, and more time reapplying that sunscreen.

A few additional tips:

  • Sunscreen wipes are a more portable, neater, and easier sun protection option. And given that it’s intended for babies, it’ll protect the most sensitive of adult skin.
  • Less is more when it comes to your beauty bag for the beach. Besides the aforementioned sunscreen, all you need is a matte moisturizer, a hydrating gel cream to soothe red skin, a blush/illuminator, and a sheer skin tint. Massage in some rich hair oil before hitting the beach for frizz-free waves.
  • This Sail to Sable silk dress works great for dinner and drinks one night, and a beach coverup the next.
  • Kimonos are THE BEST. They’ll dress up a little slip dress one evening, a swimsuit coverup the next day, and top shorts and a t-shirt for an elegant touch. It’s the summertime accessory with the most bang for your sartorial buck.
  • Hydrate, hydrate, hydrate with this chic water bottle that’ll keep your water (or other beverage) cool for hours on end.

Print multiple copies of this (FREE) packing list and stash them next to your swimsuits. Safe (and sunburn-free) travels!
