This Week

Every year, there are three weeks that consume me whole.  This is one of those weeks.

At least I’m in San Francisco, right?

It’s not all bad.  The conference has kept me busy (as it should), and I’ve had the chance to sneak away and meet up with friends for drinks, dinners, coffees.  (I take myself out for green juice every morning).  We’re ending the week with a day in Napa with one of my best friends and her boyfriend, and they’ll drop us off at the airport that night for our flight to Sydney.  Given that our upgrades didn’t go through, boarding the flight tipsy is probably a good thing.  Or a terrible idea.  I’ll let you know next week.

On to business – my favorite links of the week:

  • Thoughtful marriage advice from Glamour’s editor-in-chief.  While I respectfully disagree on her statement “marriage shouldn’t feel like work” (sometimes it just is), I wholeheartedly agree with her tip to laugh.  My husband’s and my ridiculous inside jokes have me ugly laughing regularly.
  • Kim wrote an incredibly personal post that only grew my respect for her.  When it comes to bloggers, she is all class.
  • This is what happens when you find Jennifer Lawrence’s cellphone in a cab. #dying
  • Shahid Khan reminds me a lot of my father – if only my father was into the NFL.  What an inspiring story.  (Dad – an ownership stake in the Eagles would make the perfect 30th birthday present)
  • I’d love your advice on the future of my Pack Perfect brand.  Please take a minute or two to answer these few questions.  Thank you!
  • I’m completely enamored by this Audrey Hepburn t-shirt.
  • When I FINALLY return to NYC, the first thing I’m making is this green chili.  Bonus – it’s virtuous, in the words of Felicia.
