The Hit List – May 2013

I can’t believe how fast the year has flown by.  Thankfully, it’s been an excellent year so far, with each month getting better and better.  May has been an especially exciting month – accomplishments at work continue to grow, I was quoted in the New York Times‘ Style section, and I’ve planned some fun trips for the beginning of June (Chicago, Cape Cod, and DC).  This month, I’m also loving the following:

Inferno and Top Of The Morning are two books that I haven’t been able to put down.  Mornings, admittedly, have been a bit tougher.  I finally traded in my beat up Puma duffel for this luxurious leather one – it’s made weekend trips more enjoyable.  My husband and I are newly addicted to Sherlock – we cozied up with the first season on this rainy weekend.  Tieks have been my godsend when running around the city, but I’ve been swapping them for these floral Ivanka Trump pumps once I’m at my destination.  The aforementioned rough mornings are made better by homemade, almond milk green tea lattes, courtesy of this matcha powder and milk steamer.  I’ve been retreating to my adolescent ways this month, listening to a guilty pleasure of a playlist (still too ashamed to share it) and rocking a skort whenever I have the chance.  Apparently, I’ve been washing my face incorrectly according to Into The Gloss (part 1 & 2), but since watching these videos have been religiously spraying my face pre- and post-wash with this thermal spring water.
