This winter has got me down more than usual. Â I rarely venture out, opting to huddle in my couch and eat straight out of takeout containers, watching a healthy mix of junky TV and inspiring documentaries (last night’s MAKERS doc – beyond inspirational).
But when my lovely girlfriends Rachel and Courtney invited me to lunch at Tao, during Restaurant Week nonetheless, I couldn’t resist.
The afternoon was well-worth leaving my warm apartment for. Â We all ordered different dishes and shared them (the satay skewers, sushi, and banana pudding were standouts), laughing and chatting about the upcoming Fashion Week. Â While Rachel had to jet back to work, Courtney and I wandered towards the park and found the plaza adjacent to Bergdorf’s and The Plaza totally empty.
We did what any self-respecting style blogger would do – we shed our coats and snapped pictures.
And then we ran into Bottega del Vino for the city’s best cappuccino – the perfect way to warm up.
Pink jeans and a few hours with friends are the best of pick-me-ups.
