Navy, White, and Cropped

White pants. White shoes. Iced coffee.

It could be a disaster, or it could be perfect.

This has been one of my staple outfits this summer, from a group brunch at Claudette to back-to-back meetings at The Wing.

It’s light. It’s fun. It’s easy.

This Likely top was the MVP of my first Rent The Runway Unlimited order. I wore it in Los Angeles, for my mother’s birthday dinner, and throughout the summer in the city. On paper, it’s something I never would have picked out – off-the-shoulder, cropped, patterned – but in reality, it’s been my favorite top. Jury’s out on whether I buy it, but it’s already packed in my suitcase for Greece.

White pants and shoes are a concrete ‘save’ item for me – in time, I will ruin them with a wayward stain. These wide-legged pants from Old Navy are insanely comfortable (with an elasticized back and super-soft fabric) and stylish (hug my good spots, and hide the wobbly ones). My white mules from Zara are going strong, one year later, and have been my saving grace when I’m overdue for a pedicure. They go with everything – pants, skirts, dresses – and add that extra ‘oomph’ to any outfit. Mine are sold out, but this pair from Nine West is a dead ringer for them.

I’m off to Greece today for vacation! Posts will be on the lighter side for the next two weeks (3 posts a week), but I’ll be posting to my Instagram (feed and story) throughout the trip if you’d like to follow along. Get ready for lots of history geekery and book recommendations :)
