Walking outside into the crisp autumn weather this morning made me SO happy.  This season is, without a doubt, my favorite.  Sweaters, pumpkin & cider flavored treats, football season, chili, boots, hats, fall foliage…these things bring a giant shit-eating grin to my face.  Fall is the best – and it’s also my favorite season to dress for.

Given that my travel schedule shows no signs of slowing down (I’m off to Iowa in two weeks, and then to Europe a few weeks after that), I’ve been making some thoughtful additions to my travel wardrobe.  I opt for the same stretchy black bottoms (upgraded with leather details), but swap my ballet flats for sturdy ankle boots or loafers, trade in long t-shirts for lightweight layers, and add some new accessories to the fold – like an amazing leather backpack and a cozy felt hat.  A sweatshirt dress, paired with thick black tights, is the perfect thing to wear on long-haul flights.  BaubleBar’s new jewelry clutch is perfect for both toting your baubles when traveling, and doubling as a chic clutch for evenings out.

How are you updating your on-the-go look for the cooler season?  Any specific items you’re craving this fall?  COMMENT below and let me know!
