Easy Summer Style

This post could be titled ‘lazy summer style.’ Or it could be called ‘what to wear when you need a pedicure or to shave your legs.’

Mom uniform, however, is misleading. Mostly because this kind of outfit was a go-to outfit well before I became a mother.

This is, in all honesty, what I’m wearing most days.

It’s what I wear on the weekends, chasing after Rho on the playground. It’s what I wear when I’m holed up in my home office, feverishly writing.

And yes – it’s what I’m wearing when I’m in dire need of a pedicure, or to shave my legs. Or both.

I’ve been collecting these vintage-ish t-shirts over the years, and this Journey one is tied with my Fleetwood Mac one as my most commonly worn. I’ve always got my eye on new ones, and have my eyes on this women (!!!) superhero one, a cropped Bruce one, and this Feminist classic. I also may snag this NASA sweatshirt for this fall.

Current/Elliott (and their new label, The Great) make the best basics – period. Boyfriend jeans from the brand are what I regularly search for from The Outnet, and I’ve collected 5 pairs over the years. I often leave my purse at home and stuff my wallet and phone in the back pockets, and my keys in the front. It’s a sad day when all of them are in the hamper to be washed. Trust. Lucky for you (and me), this pair and this pair are 60% off.

I’m new to the Allbirds game, but I’m fully obsessed. These wool sneakers are the most comfortable shoes I own – period. I bought this pair specifically for our Greece trip, but have reached for them time and time again for camp drop offs and errands. Wool seems like a silly option to wear in the summer, but these are breathable – read, not sweaty. Score.

Sunglasses? A purse? Who needs them?

Me, probably. But if we’re being honest, I usually forget them. Oops.
