With the weather (finally!) improving, I seem to be functioning like a normal adult.  By normal adult, I mean shedding my pajamas for proper work clothes and meeting with actual people, versus the background hum of Pandora / Netflix / Hulu.  And you know what?  I kind of like it.

These pictures were taken on a pleasantly busy day – I worked from “the office” in the morning (said office just a co-working space, but saying “office” makes me feel all fancy).  I broke away from the daily hum of e-mails and teleconferences for an excellent lunch at The Smile with my new friend Kat.  I need to hang out with her more – not only is it refreshing to talk about blogging in a honest (and almost venting) way, but I finally had my first celebrity spotting when Terry Richardson sat at the table next to ours (evidenced here).  She’s also one hell of a photographer, is she not?

Anyway, after we snapped outfit shots, we made our way uptown and went our separate ways.  She went on with her fabulous self, and I parked myself at a coffeeshop to crank through more work before heading to a networking event with my husband’s MBA alumni group.  Which was, incidentally, an equally enjoyable time (albeit completely different than my fashion-filled afternoon).  And any day that ends in Dos Caminos’ prickly pear margaritas and guacamole has to be a good day, no?

P.S. – these pictures were taken a few weeks ago, before I lopped off most of my hair.  The ever-present low bun was getting really old.  Outfit posts with the new haircut will be popping up here next week!
