Ch-ch-ch-changes

by hitha on August 27, 2012

Changes.  Both bad and good, they come into your life with little notice and major impacts.

Losing a loved one are tough changes to face.  Having lost two uncles in this summer alone has been brutal, but I’m so thankful for all the messages of condolences from you all.  They are truly appreciated, and I’m grateful that you are all a part of my life, whether personally or though the Internet.

When unforeseen changes happen in my life, it encourages me to make controllable changes in my own life.  Like many of my favorite bloggers, I’ve been musing over a revamp of the blog, and some of the cosmetic changes have already been completed.

But that’s not enough for me.

In “living the good life, on the go,” a major part of that is to be an informed member of society.  In my travels, I’m so impressed how the people I meet are so well-informed about our current events – the presidential election, the economy, and hell, even the Kardashians.  However, back home most of my conversations are focused around reality television, sports, and music.

Which isn’t bad, but it’s not enough for me.  Nor you, dear readers.

I’ll continue to write about my usual topics (style, food, travels), but will be adding more impactful posts in the “Learn” category.  I think it’s crucial, given the state of our country, that we are well-informed and generate our own opinions – and I aim to do so in this space, as well as generate a informative, respectful dialogue.

I also write this for you – so if there are any posts/topics you’d like me to address, please let me know.  You can send me a message through my Contact page, or e-mail me at hithaonthego (at) gmail (dot) com.

Readers – without you, this would be a very lonely website lost in the Internet.  Your support has meant a lot to me, and Hitha On The Go has went through a number of transformations.  I hope you will continue to follow us on this new one.

With love,
Hitha

Its great to have an even mixture of mindless fun (i.e. reality tv) and substance. Exciting to see the new changes and I’m glad to see that you are back with a vengeance!!
