This Mask Is Magical. Truly.

This is the best face mask. Ever.

I love it so much that I decant it into a tiny jar when I’m traveling.

The entire Alchimie Forever collection is outstanding (this serum and this face wash are other favorites), but their Kantic Brightening Moisture Mask is something special.

It’s gentle enough to use every day, hydrates your skin without clogging your pores, and literally makes you glow. Which is what you would expect, given that it was created by Switzerland’s top dermatologist.

That said, I’d only used it as a mask. Apply on a clean face, remove with a warm washcloth, and go about my way.

And then, I met Dorata.

Not only is she one of Heyday’s best facialists (painless extractions and a truly customized facial), she also loves this mask, which she used during a long massage during my treatment. She also shared some incredible uses for the mask.

Since sharing is caring, I’m passing along her recommendations.

Mask

Use #1 is obvious – apply it after cleansing, and rinse off after 10-15 minutes. I prefer to lay a hot washcloth on my face and moisturize immediately after.

Massage

I’ve never had such a lengthly facial massage, let alone with a mask. Dorata did so to calm my skin after a peel and before extractions, which both relaxed me and left my face glowing. I’ll give this a try this weekend (and maybe do an Instagram Live while doing it?).

Night Cream

Ada Polla (the founder of Alchimie Forever) uses this mask as an overnight mask during long flights, and I did the same on my LA trip. It absorbs quickly (especially 35,000 feet in the air) and won’t stain your bedding. Bonus – you’ll never look like you were on a crazy long flight.

Illuminator

Dorata dabbed a bit of the mask on top of my sunscreen after my facial, which illuminated my skin perfectly. Once I got home, I mixed some mask with my favorite tinted sunscreens (from Colorescience and La Roche Posay). It eliminated the white tint left by both products, and gave my skin an overall glow. Another dab on my cheekbones highlighted my skin better while giving it some extra moisture.
